How well is your IBD service performing against the 2019 IBD Standards?

The Results Overview reports show the results for this service from the IBD Benchmarking surveys that took place in 2019/20 and 2023

Please note that some of the questions and the ways of measuring responses differ between the 2019/20 and 2023 surveys, therefore the two sets of results are not directly comparable and should be viewed separately. Comparisons between the 2019/20 and 2023 findings will be included in the National Report, which will be released in summer 2024.

The Results Overview report for 2023 includes information from both the Service Survey (completed by hospitals), and the IBD Patient Survey. The Overview report follows the patient journey from first symptoms to treatment and ongoing care, mirroring the IBD Standards. The key in the report shows which results are from the Service Survey and which are from the IBD Patient Survey.

If you do not see a report for your service on this page, it may be because fewer than five patients using that service responded to the Patient Survey; the results are therefore not available to preserve anonymity.

The Patient Survey report shows the results for this service from the IBD Patient Survey 2019.

The Patient Survey Report provides a more detailed look at the IBD Patient Survey responses across the patient journey.

[Unfortunately, due to less than 5 patients responding to the IBD Patient Survey 2019 for this hospital, there is no Patient Survey report available.]

We are hoping to improve our IBD service, that’s what it’s all about. Completing the service self-assessment is one thing but hearing from our patients is the most important. We are aware we can make improvements to our service and it helps us to have objective data.
